John and Chawn Scanlan began construction on The Filling Station in 1984 and opened for business the afternoon of  January 18, 1985...Their first sister bar, Scanlans, located at 2921 City View Dr in Rockford, opened in 1999...Their second sister bar, JC's, located at 13939 IL Route 72 in Davis Junction, opened February 6, 2015.
