Bex loved her rock and roll, was a big fan of 96.7 The Eagle and was just an incredibly sweet person.

Rockford lost a beautiful soul, as word comes that Bex Mahle has passed away.

Bex was a former Rockford radio DJ at WYFE and WKKN. Bex was a huge supporter of local rock and roll, and a dedicated listener of The Eagle.

One of my first ever live appearances when I started working for 96.7 The Eagle back in April of 2015, Bex was there. She knew where I came from, she knew my past, and was there to say welcome to The Eagle with that big Bex smile.

I asked another Rockford radio legend to speak about Bex Mahle. Here are the words of Kevin McCarthy:

Bex loved the music industry. She was one to be the biggest supporters of local music. When you saw Bex at a concert or and one of the many local venues, you couldn't be more happier because you knew it was going to be a fun time. She always had hugs and kisses for her friends as we all danced the night away.
There will be a gathering of the friends and family of Bex, Wednesday night at The North Main Bar (North Main & Auburn) at 6 pm
Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of Bex Mahle.
