Rockford IceHogs Clinch a Playoffs Spot

The Rockford IceHogs are headed to the 2018 Calder Cup Playoffs!!

With a victory over the Iowa Wild on Tuesday night, the Rockford IceHogs clinched a playoff berth in the American Hockey League's 2018 Calder Cup Playoffs!

The IceHogs will be joining the Manitoba Moose, Grand Rapids Griffins, and the Chicago Wolves, who all secured one of the four berths available for the Central Division this postseason. As of this time seeding and opponents have not been determined for Rockford.

This marks the Rockford IceHogs first trip back to the postseason since 2016.

The playoff push campaign of "Our Team, Our Time" helped rally Rockford from a sixth place ranking in February to a season-high six game winning streak, all of which helped them clinch one of the top four spots in the Central Division.

The IceHogs host their final home game of the regular season this Friday the 13th against the Chicago Wolves. The Wolves are currently the top ranked team in the Central Division. Friday nights game is also Fan Appreciation Night and the first 2,500 fans will receive a copy of this years team photo.
