Rockford AMC’s to Host a Special Super Troopers Double Feature

Broken Lizard's favorite altered state troopers are back! State Troopers 2 premiere's this Friday 4/20, which knowing the humor of the comedy troupe, was probably done on purpose!

I remember seeing the first Super Troopers at the old dollar theater inside the North Towne Mall on North Main Street. I thought it was hilarious! I then told my Dad about it, he saw it, loved it and now we quote it to each other all the time! "Littering and, littering and.........." 

After the cult classic following the first one received it was only a matter of time before a sequel would be made.

Flash forward to 2015 when the studio gave the Broken Lizard comedy troupe permission to make the second installment, but they were going to have to come up with the funding for it themselves.

So they did what most do now when they need to raise money, they went to the internet. They started a indiegogo page, where they offered things like movie tickets, producer or director credits, or a real beerfest in Chicago to donors depending on their donation amount. In just 26 hours they raised the 2 million they were looking for.

Now here we are, the sequel is finally done, and it is set to premiere this Friday!

Bu it you haven't seen the first Super Troopers or just want to see it on the big screen (again), AMC is offering a special double feature this Thursday.

Both Showplace 14 in Machesney Park and Showplace 16 in Rockford are showing the Super Troopers Special Double Feature this Thursday 4/19. The first film will start at 4:20pm.
