Here is a summer job opportunity for actors in Rockford.

When you're in school, it's always hard to find that right summer job. There are so many things to consider.

What is your most important requirement for a potential seasonal position?

  • Money
  • Fun
  • Career related
  • Flexible

Since you are only going to be there for a couple of months, it's difficult to get a company to commit to you.

You are usually stuck with limited openings.

  • Fast food
  • Retail
  • Non-paid internship
  • Seasonal

I never had a great summer job. I did a few different things.

  • Stock shelves
  • Landscaping
  • Maintenance
  • Lamination factory

I had some friends that actually had cool summer gigs. They were really lucky, because they are limited and the competition is fierce.

  • Disney World
  • MTV
  • McDonald's Corporate
  • Carnival worker

The only problem with jobs like that is you usually spend more money than you make. Then you are going back to school broke.

I saw this summer opening and thought it was a great opportunity. It's from Rockford Craigslist "Gigs / Talent."

"Full/part time daytime summer acting jobs at a Wild West theme park 30 minutes from Rockford. Great for people just starting out and college students looking to build a resume."

It sounds fun, not far from Rockford, and flexible. If you're looking for a summer gig, you might want to check this one out.
