Now that our hometown heroes Cheap Trick are in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, let's go back to last Thursday and revisit my interview with Rick Nielsen.

One of my highlights of last week was visiting our Townsquare Media studio in Times Square. Here I am in New York City doing my radio show, how cool!

I checked in at the front desk as a musician tapped the keys of a baby grand piano in the lobby. First thought was, how can we fit a piano into our lobby in Rockford, and does anyone know how to play?

I got into the elevator and on the 3rd floor, the Townsquare Media Empire. This some high class digs people, and they opened their doors for me! Everyone was polite and I was welcomed with open arms.

First Andy Gannon from 23 WIFR stopped by. I've known Andy for quite a few years, and we worked together on some things for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Next, Rick Nielsen. Heck, that's the reason we were all there!

Here is my interview with Rick from Cheap Trick, from Times Square.
