American Red Cross of Northwest Illinois will partner, again, with Rockford Fire department on November 21, 2017, at 12:30 PM by visiting homes to check for working smoke detectors. Homes that do not have function smoke detectors will have them replaced for free. The goal is to keep families safe during the holidays (and the rest of the year).

“Red Cross Volunteers and Fire Fighters will be checking that homes have working smoke alarms. If not, we will install alarms free of charge. Our goal is to provide as many families as possible with these safety measures to help save lives.”  Lisa La Sala, Executive Director, American Red Cross of Northwest Illinois
