It's a big week for Rush. Not only did Geddy Lee turn sixty-one yesterday, but it was also the fortieth anniversary of drummer/lyricist Neil Peart joining the band. Original drummer John Rutsey left after the first album due to health issues. There's no doubt that the addition of Peart to the line-up kicked the band into high gear.

I get a fair amount of requests for this one. Enjoy some epic prog-rock courtesy of the great Rush live chronicle "Exit Stage Left." From 1978's Hemispheres, it's "The Trees." Check out the hair. Geddy's poofy mane and Alex Lifeson's Dutch Boy doo cracks me up.
