RAAC presents Poetry Out Loud

There once was a man from Nantucket, anyone, anyone??

For the 8th year Rockford Area Arts Council will host the local poetry competition, Poetry Out Loud.

The 2016 competition will consist of students from Jefferson and Auburn, all area high schools are invited to participate. An outstanding 280 students will compete in this regional competition at Jefferson High School on Wednesday, February 17.

According to Rock River Times, Poetry Out Loud does a lot for a student. It helps the students better understanding and appreciation poetry and build confidence.

The Jefferson High School Auditorium is located at 4145 Samuelson Road. Poetry Out Loud will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, February 17.
