The Quiet Riot album "Metal Health" changed the landscape for all of our favorite rock bands.

While on tour with Black Sabbath, Quiet Riot made a stop at The Rockford Metro Centre. When our friend Frankie Banali and crew walked off stage at the Metro Centre the fax was waiting for them. "You have the #1 album on the Billboard charts".

As the non-stop promotional tour rolled on, Quiet Riot made a stop on one of the hottest T.V. shows, "Solid Gold". Wait, what? Here are some details about this groundbreaking television event from the "AMBASSADOR OF GROOVE" himself, Mr. Frankie Banali:

QUIET RIOT TIME MACHINE - 35 YEARS AGO APPEARING ON SOLID GOLD PERFORMING "METAL HEALTH" AND WHAT WERE THE ODDS OF A METAL BAND ON SOLID GOLD RIGHT?! FOR MY DRUM POSSE - I'M PLAYING ON MY 1978 LUDWIG STAINLESS STEEL DRUM SET BUT THE QUIET RIOT LOGO HEAD IS A PEARL DRUMS HEAD. I ONLY HAD ONE PEARL ENDORSER SET AT THE TIME WHICH WAS ON THE ROAD AS WE FLEW IN FROM TOURING TO SHOOT THE TV SHOW. HENCE USING ONE OF MY VINTAGE LUDWIG DRUMS SET FOR THE SHOOT WHILE TRYING TO HONOR MY PEARL ENDORSEMENT.... REST IN PEACE THE GREAT KEVIN DuBROW. LOVED & MISSED.

You kicked down the door Frankie, thank you.
