There was a moment last night as the game ended where the reality of what I just witnessed kicked in.

As a life long Chicago Cubs fan, watching them win their first World Series game at home in my life time was simply breath taking. The words I spoke out loud on the final pitch were this, "I NEVER thought I'd ever see that".

The pure joy of the fans in attendance warmed my heart. The volume of the fans during the 9th inning was insane, and the volume at the end of the game may leave you a little misty eyed.

Over a mile away from Wrigley Field a video was captured of the crowd singing "Go Cubs Go". Again, the volume and the happiness even from this distance is loud and clear.

I am of the belief that even if, this isn't the year...there will be multiple World Series wins for The Cubs in years to come. Technically they are ahead of schedule which is exciting, and the future is as bright as these lights at Wrigley.
