Portillo’s Picks Location in Rockford

Oh bother, I'll be eating beef sandwiches and chocolate cake everyday for lunch.

Portillo's is one of my favorite fast casual restaurants ever. I'm one of the lucky ones to have one less than a mile from my home. I'm there so often that I think I can speak the language!

"Hi, I'd like a beef wet with mozz, HP and a regular chz fry please."

"Not a problem!"

Then in the loud overhead speaker I hear in a Charlie Brown robot voice, "Beef wet mozz, hot pepps, reg chz fry."

Then, I pay take my reciept and order number and head over to the counter and wait for the next lady to say, "Number 41! You're order is done!"

Sweet music to my ears.

Finally, we are getting a Portillo's here in Rockford... not far from the radio station! This is fantastic. The location is on Mulford and State Street, a seven minute drive from the station. Watch out Portillo's! I'm coming for my beef!
