Suspect Still at Large

Winnebago County Sheriff Deputy Stephen Wright, was shot early Saturday morning and the suspect is still at large.

In the early morning hours on Saturday, a traffic stop led to Deputy Wright being shot multiple times. Police are searching for Jordan D. Spates, the incident took place at Springfield and Prairie Road.

The wanted man is a tall drink of stupid, standing 6'5" and weighing 170lbs.

Winnebago County Sheriff Gary Caruana was quoted as saying:

"We're gonna get this guy."

But awareness and tips to local law enforcement could help in landing this loser. He is armed and dangerous so do not attempt to approach, but if you have ANY leads on his possible whereabouts you are encouraged to contact local law enforcement ASAP.
