Netflix has issued a warning to subscribers, "do not click these links!"

Police Departments around the country started reminding citizens to be careful and not fall for these fake emails from Netflix. The emails (which are pretty much all the same) read,

We're having some trouble with your current billing information. We'll try again, but in the meantime (sic) you may want to update your payment details.

The message is followed by a red UPDATE ACCOUNT NOW button with various "helpful" contact information below, some of which have typos.

The streaming service has backed up that warning through its website.

Never enter your login or financial details after following a link in an email or text message. If you're unsure if you're visiting our legitimate Netflix website, type www.netflix.com directly into your web browser.

Obviously, you do not want to click anything within the email but what you should do is forward it to Netflix's security team at phishing@netflix.com.
