I can't believe this unique house converted from an old gas station in the Rockford River District is for sale.

Have you ever had a house that you pass by all the time and wonder what it looked like on the inside?

I do. It's in the Rockford River District. It looks like an old gas station converted into a house. The place has always intrigued me.

It's located on the corner of North Second Street and Market Street. The address is 130 North Second Street. To avoid the traffic on East State State heading downtown, I usually take Market Street, so I've driven by it several times.

The last time I went by, I noticed a for sale sign. Could there be a listing of pictures? Could I finally see what it's like on the inside? I remember the realtor and looked it up when I got home. The house is listed by Team Lunde Premier Restate Services. You got to love the internet.

Here is a description of the property.

"Architecturally repurposed 1930's gas station to amazing river district flex space. Designed for artist studio and entertaining. Dream kitchen with 8 person island. 1.5 bath. One bedroom. Parking for 5 and 2 privacy fenced patios. Exceptional walkability. $1600 per month rent. The purchase price is $229,000"

I hope eventually they have an open house because I would love to go in it.
