There is an event on October 15th in Roscoe, IL to celebrate the life of Bobby Figinsky. Back on October 15th 2017, Bobby was walking with a friend on Hononegah Road when he was hit by a vehicle and killed. So in his honor, this October 15th we "Light it up Green For Bobby".

Here are the details from the Facebook page:

On October 15th 2017, Bobby was hit by a truck and killed while walking home with a friend along Hononegah Rd in Roscoe. He was just 13 years old.
So on the one year anniversary, and for however long before or after you would like to participate, we are asking that everyone please display green lights in Bobby's memory. I would love to see this whole area turn green.
Bobby was a wonderful son, brother, nephew, grandson, cousin, and friend. He is greatly missed by so many. He lit up our family, and our community, and now I want our community to "Light it up Green" for him.
On the one year anniversary, Monday October 15th, we will be gathering on the bike path in Roscoe across from Carpet Mill Outlet on Hononegah Rd. from 6-8 pm. Anyone who would like to come show their support is welcome. We will have candles ( LED ones for safety) and I hope to have Bobby's slide show on a projector as well as his playlist playing as well. You can stay the whole time or just stop by for a little while. We look forward to seeing everyone. It's going to be a hard day and everyone's support is appreciated more than you could possibly know.

Thank you to all who participate.
