96.7 The Eagle Presents a very special evening with Miles Nielsen and the Rusted Hearts hosted by Captain Jack and Double T at Veterans Memorial Hall in downtown Rockford.

The holidays are just around the corner. It's time to think about traditions.

What does your family do for the Thanksgiving weekend?

Maybe the night before, you hit up the Rockford IceHogs game.

On Thanksgiving, you head over to Grandma's house, eat turkey, and watch some football.

Of course, there's shopping on Black Friday.

Saturday is Stroll on State.

My favorite Rockford Thanksgiving tradition happens to be on Friday, the night after Thanksgiving.

It's the annual Miles Nielsen and the Rusted Heart's show at the historic Veterans Memorial Hall in downtown Rockford.

There is a great little theater in that building with a balcony and great acoustics.

This show has been happening for several years now. This year, it's on Friday, November 24th. Doors open at 7pm and the starts at 8pm. It's all-ages. Drinks will be available for purchase with I.D.

The band will play two sets including a few surprises and some special guests. In between sets, Captain Jack and I will host a fun band and audience interactive activity.

It's definitely a must-see show in Rockford. Make sure you get there a little early, so you can walk around Memorial Hall. It's a fascinating place.

Tickets are available now through milesnielsen.com or at the door.

It's always a great time and we hope to see you there.
