A new fashion trend for men is wearing basketball shorts.

I usually don't worry about following fashion trends. If for some reason I end up wearing something fashionable, it's by accident. For example, when the "Grunge" look became popular. I had been wearing flannel shirts and converse all-stars for years. Style and I just ran into each other at that point. It's very rare.

This morning when I woke up for work, I remembered that I washed my shorts the night before and left them in the dryer all night. It was going to be in the 90's today, so there was no way I was wearing jeans. I just grabbed a pair of what I call comfy shorts and I was good to go.

Comfy shorts are what I put on when I get home from work. They are basically basketball shorts.

I'm on the radio, nobody sees me. I've done it before. It's not like I was wearing pajama pants.

As I was doing my show, one of my co-workers came in and started to make fun of me for wearing basketball shorts to work. I explained what happened, but that didn't seem to matter.

A few minutes later, I was surfing on the internet and I found an article from gq.com,

"Your favorite basketball shorts are now in fashion."

I would dare say "GQ" is a very good source for men's fashion trends.

That's big news. Guys, if you enjoy wearing basketball shorts, you're now in style.

Now I wouldn't wear them to church or a business meeting, but don't be afraid to wear your basketball shorts out in public. If anyone says anything to you, just say that "GQ" says I'm in style.

Our course, I went back and shared that information if my co-worker. It still didn't seem to water to them.

I use to think it was funny, that when I picked up my daughter from school. All the boys were wearing basketball shorts, but now it makes total sense.

I can't wait to see people rocking the basketball shorts at Rockford City Market.

Do you wear basketball shorts? If so, do you wear them in public? If you didn't before, will you now?

What other fashion trend do you wish would come in style?
