David Clarke pulled his squad car up in front of the Wall Memorial into a handicap parking spot. He directed a Captain to move the vehicle and properly park it.

When the Veterans Day event came to a close, he noticed that his squad car was still parked illegally in the parking spot and wasn't moved.

So David Clarke did the most logical thing, he wrote himself a ticket.

He went on to pay the $35 fine and then donated the additional city fee of $200 to a charity that works with the disabled.

David Clarke went on to order an investigation into why the car wasn't moved from the spot, but he sees the error in his ways for parking there in the first place.
