Imagine having to take everything you own place to place in a garbage bag, but that's what many kids in foster care have to do.

This Saturday, May 5th Camelot Care Centers, Inc., along with WIFR will be kicking off their inaugural luggage drive.

Families in the stateline are being asked to donate their gently used suitcases, totes, duffle bags, and backpacks. These donations will then be given to area children in foster care.

A former foster child, Jennifer, told wifr.com that most of the time kids in foster care are traveling from home to home with their only possession in trash bags.

She went on to say that with the help of this donated luggage these kids would have something that they would actually be able to take with them.

Because going from one place to another they never really have anything to themselves. It's like starting all over again. At least they have something that they can carry with them,"

Clear away some extra clutter and get ahead start on your spring cleaning by donating any extra backpacks and luggage to someone who will put it to good use.

The Luggage Drive will be held this Saturday 5/5 from 10 am to 1 pm at Camelot Care Centers, Inc. on 5301 E. State St. #208 at New Towne Plaza.

Camelot Care staff will be on hand as you drop off your luggage donations to answer any questions you might have on becoming a foster parent.
