Loves Park Getting a New Pizza Parlor

Windsor Road in Loves Park will soon have a new pizza place serving the neighborhood.

Kirkland resident Steve Blake is investing close to $350,000 into Windsor Pizza Parlor, located at 1034 Windsor Rd in Loves Park. He plans on opening the restaurant sometime this summer.

As you can see from the sign above they are currently hiring cooks, servers, and bartenders. No Facebook page for the pizza parlor as of yet.

Blake worked for a pizza business in DeKalb for about five years before purchasing the Loves Park location.

Previous occupants of this location have been KFC, CoCo Joe's, Papa Giovanni's Italian Restaurant, and most recently The Speakeasy.

Blake recently told rrstar.com that their ingredients are the key to making their pizza so good.

“We make everything from scratch, Our pizza is good because it’s made with fresh ingredients. It’s not frozen or store bought."

Blake is also an Eagle Scout, so he hopes to work with local schools and scout troops in the future on pizza parties and promotions.

“We need support and hopefully we can help out the community and the community can help out us.”

Both on the patio and inside, Windsor Pizza Parlor will seat about 70 people. According to rrstar.com they will be serving liquor and hope to offer pizza delivery and carryout service.

Since this is in my backyard, the family and I will be checking out Windsor Pizza Parlor when it opens.
