Local Medication Collection June 11th
If you have old and or unused medications sitting around the house, here is how to get rid of them.
Saturday June 11th, Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful will be holding events at four different locations to collect unused medications.
This event will help with preventing poisoning, possible addiction and water pollution. This is an event for drop off of no longer needed, unused or expired medications:
- RX
- Over-the-counter
- Pet meds
- Liquids
- Gels
- Creams
- Inhalers
- Mercury thermometers
Please no sharps/needles. Also, keep in original container identifying what the product is and mark out your name on RX label. All containers will be recycled.
Here are the locations you can drop these items off:
- 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Machesney Town Center 8750 N 2nd St, South Lot off Roosevelt Rd
- 9 a.m. - Noon Winnebago Rockford Health Physicians 102 Landmark Dr
- 9 a.m. - Noon South Beloit Fire Dept 429 Gardner St
- 9 a.m. - Noon Belvidere Township Office, 8200 Fairgrounds Rd
