The location of an old music venue in Rockford has been purchased by a local developer.

If you aren't aware, there is a great music history in Rockford including amazing venues that held awesome shows. Unfortunately, many of them are gone.

There are a lot of exciting things going on downtown. It could mean the return of one of those old theaters.

According to rockrivertimes.com,

"A Rockford building that was once a nationally known entertainment venue is now owned by a local developer who says it could once again be a downtown attraction."

I'm talking about the old Charlotte's Web building. Urban Equity Properties bought it. There is a chance for the location to be reopened as a performing arts center.

I think it would be great to have another option when it comes to entertainment. Especially, if it means bringing back a historical place like that.
