You're invited to celebrate this weekend as The Coronado Performing Arts Center turns 90 this weekend.

90 years of the Coronado. Where has the time gone? This Saturday Captain Jack and Double T will be at The Coronado Performing Arts Center for an all-day celebration (beginning at noon) of Rockford's crown jewel. This event is free to the public, here is a list of activities:

 

  • FACE PAINTER, 1:00pm-3:00 pm Quisha Curtis (Crazy Q) with professional grade face-painting to impress your little ones.
  • LIVE UP-CLOSE MAGICIAN: 12:30-3:30 pm Johnny Silver Magic will provide up-close magic and amaze people of all ages, not just the kids. He's one of a kind.
  • THEATER TOURS: 12:00pm-4:00 pm, Tours will continue throughout the theater brought to you by the Coronado - Land Of Lincoln Theatre Organ Society.
  • ARCHIVE DISPLAYS: 12pm-4pm, Take a look through time at the Archived Memorabilia and Photos of the Historic Coronado Theatre.
  • MINI ORGAN CONCERTS: 12:30pm, 1:30pm, 2:30pm, 3:30pm
  • ADMISSION: IS FREE!
