Leaving pets in extreme weather now against the law in Illinois
Thank to Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner a new law has been signed which makes it against the law to leave pets in hot and cold weather that will cause them injury or death.
Take care of your pets people, or pay the price. Leaving your pets outside in dangerous weather conditions will cost you $2500.
According to DogHeirs pet owners in Illinois will be charged with a Class A misdemeanor if caught leaving pets in extreme weather conditions.
