Let's give you a little background on this iconic band. After being signed in 1986, they released their debut self-titled album which went on to sell 750,000 copies and earned the band its first gold album. L.A. Guns hit the road with the true "Monsters of Rock", AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Def Leppard, etc. Album number two "Cocked and Loaded" launched them into the rock "Super Star" category. With the single and MTV video for "Ballad of Jane", their second album did one million plus and L.A. Guns were off and running.

Like any great band, years of touring and basically seeing the same 4 or 5 people everyday took it's toll. All of the greats break up, members quit, people get fired, etc. That truly is as rock and roll as it gets.

It's 2017 and L.A. Guns is back. This Saturday night they will be at Poopy's in Savannah along with 96.7 The Eagle. I had a chance to chat with L.A. Guns lead singer Phil Lewis about the L.A. Guns story, here you go.
