K-Mart, Including Rockford’s, Is Making Some Changes For Curvy Girls

Ladies if you hate the term "Plus Sized" especially when you're shopping. I want to let you know K-Mart, including the Rockford location, heard you loud and clear.

They're make some some good changes for curvy girls.

Not all women are the same in body type. Some of us have a little more than others. Some of us are a lot curvier in places than others and we should be never be made to feel bad about our bodies.

I mean I know I will never be a size two ever. Doesn't matter how much I diet or exercise my body make up just doesn't allow me to be that size.It's not in my genetic map.

What K-Mart is doing for us ladies with a little more, is such a great idea.

According to Jezebel.com, K-Mart is striking the word "Plus Size" from their vocabulary and store signage and replacing it with a more positive spin. we will now be seeing the words "'Fabulously Sized’ [over] sections inside its stores and [they have] established extended sizes in all of its women’s apparel brands."

K-Mart's Chief Marketing Officer, Kelly Cook said that the reason for the change came when they "reached out to our members on social media, they told us we needed to have a better assortment and that we should we call it something different. They absolutely love this whole mantra of ‘Fabulously Sized,’.... We’re proud to provide this apparel, and we’re also proud about our price points. We have ‘brag-worthy’ denim at $9.97 everyday..... As these women increasingly embrace their size, we saw a huge opportunity to grow our apparel business and offer our members more choices,” Cook explained, adding that, “This decision was also heavily influenced by the fact that there’s a solid trend on the market around diversity promotion and body positivity.”
