You shouldn't steal, but if you find it necessary there is a right way and wrong way to do it.

First off, I'm going to strongly suggest you don't break that law. It's just not a good idea.

There is a very good chance you're going to end up in jail. Plus, you're affecting somebody else's life in a negative way.

I've been robbed and had stuff stolen from me. It's not a good feeling.

According to thesmokinggun.com,

A woman in Illinois decided she wanted to steal a car. Well, in a case of "Karma," she was busted in a ridiculous way.

The police were called to a convenience store in Shiloh, Illinois because a woman was locked out of her car. When they arrived, the person was acting suspiciously. The officers determined that the automobile had been stolen. The suspect was immediately arrested.

Yes, you read that correctly. The thief was arrested when she locked herself out of the stolen car.

I've got two words for you... "Dumb Crime."

The woman's criminal record includes numerous vehicular charges and prior arrests for battery, retail theft, disorderly conduct, domestic battery, and driving with a suspended license.

I think she needs to find a new hobby.

By the way, her name is Liberty Bell. I guess that cracked the case on Liberty Bell.
