Going to the dentist can be a very overwhelming event. You walk into their office and see all those tools you do not know what they are for. Yes, they are helpful to your teeth but let's all admit, they're pretty scary looking.

Your teeth are susceptible so any little thing can cause you some serious pain. Plus, you use them all the time, so that doesn't help the situation. Having someone you don't know stick tools into your mouth which is already feeling uncomfortable can be intimidating.

I don't know if you've been to the dentist lately but it's gotten extremely expensive to get your teeth worked. Of course, dental insurance doesn't cover procedures very well. I can understand why someone is searching for a more reasonable option.

Monica Davis posted an ad on social media including TikTok and Facebook for her fake dental practice in Schaumburg called The Veneer Experts. New patients immediately started reaching out to schedule appointments to get work done on their teeth. A mother and her daughter got braces, well that's what they thought.

When the pair tried to call for a follow-up appointment, the number was disconnected. They weren't the only victims. After receiving several complaint calls, the police were able to track her down and arrested the suspect.

This isn't the first time she's pulled this caper. A few months earlier the woman was arrested in Nevada for the same thing. If you're choosing a dentist from social media, make sure you do plenty of research.
