A Christmas movie on the Hallmark Channel features a town in Illinois.

It is the holiday season and everyone has their own way of getting into the Christmas spirit. For me, it is putting up the tree and other decorations, My mom will listen to music. Others will start watching movies and specials.

This is a good year to catch up on your Christmas programs. Maybe, some you have not seen in a while or for possibly the first time. If you are looking for one that is kind of cheesy but will end up giving you that warm and fuzzy feeling, the place for you is the Hallmark Channel. They produce new programs each year to keep their marathons of holiday programming fresh. I have friends that swear by it. Their television does not leave that station throughout the month of December.

This time around, there is one particular film that is making Illinois famous. The star is not an actor or actress from the Land of Lincoln. No, the headliner for this one is the town where the movie is taking place.

According to onlyinyourstate.com,

"The town of Richton Park in Illinois is the star of a Hallmark Channel Christmas movie. There’s a brand new Hallmark Christmas movie based on a story that takes place in a town in Illinois. This new film is bound to put the Land of Lincoln on the map once again. "Christmas Under The Stars is a brand new holiday Hallmark Channel movie based on a soon-to-be-published novel set in Richton Park, Illinois."
