I feel like the thieves in Illinois have kind of gone rogue. Back in the day, it was more of a Robin Hood thing like stealing from the rich. Now, it's a free-for-all. If it's not nailed down they're taking it, well, either way. Plus, everyone is a target.

A couple of days ago, a locally owned hot dog stand and ice cream parlor combo restaurant called Emo's Dairy Mart in Peoria was broken into. After a call from the police, the owners came down to their business to check out the situation. To their surprise, the thieves only took one thing. That was the ATM machine in the corner.

The thieves got the heavy machine a couple of blocks before they gave up. They broke it open and took the money that was inside. No word on how much. There was some damage inside the restaurant by the suspects trying to get the ATM out the door.
