If you are interested in owning some unique Grateful Dead and other Rock and Roll memorabilia, you might want to check out this upcoming auction to be held in Illinois.

My parents took me to Donley's Wild West Town in Union, Illinois several times as a kid. I even took my own daughter there when she was younger.

During those many visits, I never knew that they owned another company too. It's Donley Auctions.

On Saturday, September 8th, they will be hosting a "Grateful Dead Auction."

According to billboard.com,

"Donley Auctions announced that it will be auctioning off dozens of items owned by rock icons like Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Janis Joplin, Mick Fleetwood and more."

"In addition to signed posters and documents, the collection also includes Garcia’s death certificate; the duster overcoat worn by the band in the “Throwing Stones” music video; personal canceled checks signed by Garcia; Garcia’s personal Rolodex; and a Fender Squier guitar signed by Weir."

"Many of the items being auctioned belonged to Dead employees Annette Flowers and Sue Stephens, as well as the Dead’s personal filmmaker and producer Len Dell'Amico."

If you're like me and curious about what items they have up for auction and want to check it out for yourself. They will be hosting a preview event called “Grateful Dead & Rock & Roll,” It will be held on September 7th at Donley's headquarters in Union, Illinois.

I really wish I had some extra cash to bid on some of these items.
