How to Speak Like a True Irishman on St. Patrick’s Day

St. Patrick's Day; it's the day we all get to be a wee bit Irish and pretend that we actually drink Irish Car Bombs and Guiness every day of the year.

If you really want to up your game and impress everyone with your true Irish heritage this year, speak in true Ireland slang all day long.

Let's start with the most popular slang term for drunk: "ossified". Irishmen use this word when one is very drunk, not just tipsy. Example: "Do you even remember what happened last night? You were extremely ossified" or "Let's get ossified and wild tonight".

Next up; The Fear. This is the fun Irish way to say you are hungover and may have blacked out the night before.. Example: "I'm never drinking again, I am crippled with The Fear.

When the time comes to use the restroom, yell very loudly; "Can anyone tell me where to find The Jacks?!? " Translation: where are the restrooms?

Finally, if you thoroughly want to mess with your drunken friends, answer every question asked with "sure look it". That is a typical Irish answer for any question or statement made. So basically, if you have no idea what someone is talking about, and then they ask you a question just say "Aw, sure look it." Then when they ask what you just said, keep replying with "sure look it" until they either give up or want to punch you in the face. Lol!
