Peeps aren't just for eating anymore, you can also make Play Dough for the kiddies this Easter!

Play Dough was one of my favorite things to play with as a kid. I got really good at making little stick figures and snakes by rolling the dough into long lines. That's all I could make. Ok, so maybe I wasn't that good at it.

This is something I will absolutely have to try this Easter with my nieces and nephews. You can turn delicious marshmallow Peeps into kid friendly Play Dough.

The original recipe comes from growingajeweledrose.com.

You will only need a few ingredients:

  • 5 Peeps
  • 3 tbsp of corn starch
  • 1 & 1/2 tsp of coconut oil
  • Optional: food coloring

First, combine the above ingredients in a microwave-safe bowl, and heat until the Peeps expand, about 30 seconds.

Next, carefully remove the bowl from the microwave and begin mixing the ingredients with a spoon.  Once cool enough finish kneading and mixing the dough with your hands.

Finally, repeat the above steps using different color Peeps if different colored doughs are desired.

You can always add a few drops of food coloring if you would like a richer and darker color.

That's it! Plus, it is made with all edible ingredients, so no worries if the little ones shove some in their mouths.
