How the KISS Classic Beth was Born

August 20th, KISS brings their "Freedom to Rock" tour to Rockford.

All of the fire breathing, blood spitting, pyro explosions and classic KISS songs will fill the BMO in downtown Rockford.

KISS live is truly to greatest show on earth, the entertainment value beyond the songs is worth the ticket price.

When you break down a KISS set list, it's filled with sing-a-long rockers, crushing guitar jams and one soft, thoughtful, power ballad. Wait, what?

The KISS Classic "Beth" was famously known as a B-Side that radio stations played instead on the suggested single "Detroit Rock City". These make up and leather covered rockers showed their softer side, and it worked.

There have been lots of rumors over the years in regards to the story of the song "Beth". Was it originally called "Beck" after the drummers wife Becky? Was it written as a joke? Was it based on a true story?
