Typically, I try not to have anymore than one to two caffeinated drinks in one day. I had no idea that Starbucks could literally have me twitching.

I have a friend, we'll refer to her as Michelle, and she knows exactly how much caffeine she drinks and at what time of day. Michelle's obsessed with that powdered stuff you put in your water that makes it taste like roses and unicorns or something. From what I remember her telling me, it's 120 milligrams of caffeine.

There is my sister, Sara, who also is a huge caffeine junkie. She has her daily doses of coffee twice a day. If she doesn't get her extra-hot-vanilla-caramel-drizzle-no-whip-frap-thing she drinks then she has monster headaches.

I on the other hand treat myself to a diet soda here or there, but I really feel like caffeine doesn't do anything for me. Maybe it's because I don't drink much of it?

But I thought I would do a public service announcement and let you know how much caffeine is in your Starbucks drink.

Thrillist.com provides the full list in a very fancy info-graphic. They also note that the Mayo Clinic recommends 400 mgs of caffeine per day is acceptable.

Here are a few to mention:

Featured Dark Roast - 330 mg

Caffe Americano - 225 mg

5-Hour Energy (for reference) - 215 mg

Cappuccino -150 mg

Caramel Macchiato - 150 mg

8.4 oz. can of Red Bull (for reference) - 83 mg

Green Tea Latte - 80 mg

Want to skip the caffeine all together? Why not try a Strawberry Smoothie, White Chocolate Creme Frappuccino or a White Hot Chocolate.
