Have a Rockin’ Cheap Trick Christmas on The Eagle

I sent a text this morning which led to a pretty awesome and "Cheap" idea.

With the crazy tour schedule of Cheap Trick in 2016 finally reaching the end, I knew that our hometown heroes were home.

2016 has been an amazing years for Cheap Trick. Friday April 8th is a date that went down in rock and roll, AND Rockford history. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame welcomed Rick, Robin, Tom and Bun into their hallowed halls. On that date it was official, Cheap Trick is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I wanted to end 2016 giving Rick Nielsen the chance to say thank you to Rockford. I wanted to give Rick a microphone, a studio, my headphones, and put this Rockford icon to work...on Christmas!

On Christmas Day from 8am - 10am and again from 5pm - 7pm have 96.7 The Eagle on loud and proud for a "Rockin' Cheap Trick Christmas" hosted by Rick Nielsen.

Rick will be playing his favorite rockin' Christmas songs and of course plenty of Cheap Trick. This guitar legend will be in control, all scheduled music and plans will be out the window!

This 2-hour radio special will be unlike anything you have ever heard before, and it is all for you Rockford. Get ready for a "Rockin' Cheap Trick Christmas" hosted by Rick Nielsen, Christmas Day from 8am-10am and again 5pm-7pm.
