Guns and Hoses Coming to Rockford

So let's put local cops and firefighters on skates and arm them with hockey sticks.

I played in a charity basketball game once with "local celebrities" and members of the Chicago Bears. It got a little dicey at one point with players throwing elbows, diving for loose balls and taking charges.

Could you imaging a hockey rink filled with local cops and firefighters? The high emotions, raised testosterone levels, with hockey sticks in their hands?

Saturday, February 18th at The BMO Harris Bank Center, it's "Guns and Hoses Night".  Come out and support local police and firefighters as they battle it out on the rink to raise money for Heartland Hospice Memorial Fund.

No handcuffs, no fire hoses, just a bunch of Rockford's finest playing hockey and beating the crap out of each other. Thankfully Todd Murr isn't on ice anymore, that guy could not only play but he took his hockey play very serious.
