Imagine if Delaware was voting on independence from the United States. No doubt, several people would care. I'm not sure about the analogy, but this much I do know- Scotland is voting today on whether or not to break away from the United Kingdom. They have been part of it since 1707. That's longer than Delaware has been part of the U.S.

Seriously though, this is a big thing for the U.K. and emotions are running high. The polls show that it's too close to call. Whatever they decide, I hope it's done with not a drop of blood shed. I've received hundreds of emails asking my opinion on this matter. The truth is, I've never been east of New York state, so I can't pretend to know what I'm talking about when it comes to Scottish independence or history other than what I've learned from Braveheart, the song "It's a Long Way to the Top if You Want to Rock 'n Roll' by AC/DC, and Groundskeeper Willie. Willie gets his kilt all tied in a knot and chimes in on the matter:
