To some, today is a "green holiday".

420 is a code term that refers to the consumption of pot. Guess what today is, you got it.

So with today being 420,  I find it really interesting that the State of Illinois just passed a brand new pot bill.

According to WIFR the state senate has approved a bill to REMOVE criminal penalties for possession of small amounts of pot. Many states have already done this, now it's true in Illinois.

So here is the dope breakdown, under current law, possession of up to 2.5 grams of pot is punishable by up to 30 days in jail and/or a fine of up to $1,500. With the new Illinois law, if you get busted with up to 10 grams of marijuana punishable will be a fine of $100-$200, and an adults would no longer face any jail time.

Marijuana decriminalization in Illinois, I have to say I'm not all that shocked. Obviously has bigger problems to roll up and take care of.
