Gas Tax In Illinois Could Be Going Up

If an Illinois State Representative gets his way, we will be paying higher taxes on gas.

Enough already. I'm really getting fed up with Illinois. Especially, the government officials that are running our state. You could dare say ruining.

I think they all need to take an economics class because they have no idea how to keep a budget.

I would be very interested to see their household finances or how they would run a private business.

Their solution to our state budget problems is to just raise our taxes. I believe they are going to tax us dry.

According to illinoispolicy.org,

"Illinois state Rep. Dan Brady, R-Bloomington, wants Illinoisans to pay higher gas taxes to fund public construction across the state."

Are you kidding me? Is this a joke?

Don't we already pay high gas taxes?

Didn't they already raise our income taxes earlier this year?

Aren't our property taxes some of the highest in the country?

Upping our taxes is not going to fix the problem. It's time for Springfield to get their act together.

They have plenty of money. Spend it wisely.

If I don't have extra money, I don't do things like go out to eat or to the movies. I stick will the essentials. With all these taxes, I won't even be able to afford the basics.

The State of Illinois has no idea what a budget is because they just keep spending. I guess they think money grows on trees.

Remember this when election time comes around. My slogan is "Time For New People."

Holding office shouldn't be a lifelong career to get rich. It should be about public service.

People already want to leave here as fast as possible. This isn't going to help.

Unfortunately, not everybody is in the position to leave because of family, job, money, health, and other reasons.

Come on Illinois, you can do much better than this.
