Free Rooster Available In Marengo

If you're in the market for a rooster, there's a free one available in Marengo.

I'm a big fan of Rockford Craigslist and I came across this interesting post this morning. I thought it was definitely worth sharing. It was in the "community" section under "pets."

"free Rooster (Marengo) I have one silkie rooster that I need to rehome. I have one too many roosters and need to get him a new home asap. He is great for protecting and mating with hens. He can be a bit of a jerk but overall a great rooster. Please let me know if your interested."

I realize not everyone is in the market for a rooster, but if you are, this is a great deal. You know the old saying, what's the best kind of rooster? A free one.

Even if you don't have chickens, a rooster can be useful. You will never have to worry about needing an alarm. It will crow every morning to wake you up.

Also, if you have an annoying neighbor. It's a good way to get them back. All of a sudden, they might stop having those loud late night week day bonfires.

I think it would make an interesting Rockford Scanner post.

There was one thing that concerned me in the post. They mention that the rooster is a bit of a jerk, but aren't most.
