Another day another salmonella outbreak. This time, one that could change the way your children snack.

That's because NBC 5 in Chicago is reporting Pepperidge Farms, announced they are voluntarily recalling four different types of Goldfish crackers after a salmonella outbreak.

The crackers are believed to have been dusted in a whey protein that tested positive for salmonella.

According to the report, NBC 5 says:

Flavor Blasted® Xtra CheddarFlavor Blasted® Sour Cream & OnionGoldfish® Baked with Whole Grain Xtra CheddarGoldfish® Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel. Different packaging options are included in this recall.

The Pepperidge Farm website states, "Consumers who have purchased these products should not eat them. Recalled product should be discarded or may be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund."

Pepperidge Farm is also allowing consumers to file for online reimbursement or call 800.679.1791.

There have been no reported cases of salmonella poisoning attributed to the bad batch of Goldfish.
