Sachelle Saunders, formerly of WTVO, now works for News 6 in Orlando. After covering the story around the clock, she took time to call home and share her feelings.

We all saw the awful story unfold on TV. 49 dead, more than 50 injured. They're referring to it as the worst mass shooting in U.S. history. We watched from afar with heavy hearts, imagine what it was like to be up close and reporting the news. Television reporters are human too and it's so tough to hold back your emotions and deliver the facts.

Listen to Sachelle describe what it was like to cover this story.

Sachelle is right, children don't know this kind of evil because it's not in them. To truly heal this world we must do whatever we can to keep hatred out of our children's hearts.

Thousands gather at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts to pay their respects for those lost in the Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando.
