It's dangerous to follow a friend driving in another car.

According to time.com,

"A study found that drivers who follow another car to the same destination are more likely to drive dangerously."

How many times have you done it?

You and a friend are driving separately and going to the same place, but you don't know how to get there. Instead of taking time to get directions or entering the destination into your GPS, you decide to just follow them.

We all know how this plays out. You don't want to lose them, so the rules of the road are thrown out the window. All of a sudden, you're speeding, cutting people off, making illegal turns, and a bunch of bad driving moves.

Back in the old "On The Waterfront" days, my parents were following me downtown. They aren't from here, so they didn't know where they were going. As we were driving down South Main, a car ran a red light. Maybe, they didn't want to lose the friend they were following. I had to slam on my breaks. My Dad didn't want to lose me, so he was following way to closely. He rear ended me.

Next time, be safe and just get your own directions.
