I spent the weekend in New York City during the 2nd largest snow storm in the Big Apple's history.

First off congrats to my friends Josh and Jess on their big day. I can't believe how perfect their wedding in Central Park was.

This was my first trip to NYC, and it did not disappoint. Oh and it was the weekend of the 2nd largest snow storm in New York history. 30+ inches of snow in hours, good times.

We were told by our driver on the way from airport to hotel, "We could get eight feet of snow, by Sunday the streets will be clean for your wedding I promise". He was right, by Sunday everything was amazingly clean.

So here are Five Things I Learned About NYC:

  •  People Were Really Nice to me - The whole stigma of rude East Coast people, not true.
  •  Tim Hanson Would be Proud - The Streets were so clean post storm, our former Rockford "Streets Guru" would have loved it.
  •  The Pizza IS That Good - The whole Chicago/New York Pizza thing, gotta tell you the NYC pizza is incredible.
  •   New York Football Fans not a fan of Tom Brady - Talking football with a guy of the elevator lead me to believe Tom Brady is the Devil.
  •   Transportation is key - Taxi, Uber, or Carmel out in the city. Used Carmel all weekend and it was awesome.
