Vandals attacked a world famous baseball diamond that is located not too far from Rockford.

If you're a baseball fan, I recommend you take the pilgrimage to Dyersville, Iowa to visit the Field of Dreams. It's where they filmed the movie. It has to be one of the most famous baseball fields in our country.

The admission is free to go recreate scenes from the movie. You can walk out of the corn fields and run the bases. Sometimes you can even catch a game.

It's a must-see for any sports, baseball, and movie fan. I've been there and it's really cool to see.

Unfortunately, somebody didn't feel the same way.

According to msn.com,

"A vandal has caused thousands of dollars in damage by driving a vehicle onto the site. A vehicle made deep gashes in the outfield and damaged a sprinkler system. Workers are still assessing the costs and needed repairs. The field will remain open during repairs."

Sounds like some kids decided to do some donuts on the famous field. I'm all for having some fun, but this is just sad. It's a sign of no respect.
