If you're a fan of the show, the Saturday Night Live Experience is coming to Chicago this fall.

I remember in third grade, one of my classmates would record scenes from Saturday Night Live on his tape recorder. He would bring it to school on Monday and we would listen to them during recess. Back then, my favorite was "Land Shark."

My parents wouldn't let me watch it, but if I had a babysitter I would try so hard to stay up to check it out. Of course, most of the time I fell asleep.

I've been a huge fan for years. I enjoy going back to the old episodes. I still have my DVR set to record it each week.

One of my "Bucket List" things is to go to New York to see it live.

This fall in Chicago, I'll be able to get a small taste and I'm excited.

According to chicagoist.com,

"The large-scale exhibit "Saturday Night Live: The Experience" will land at the Museum of Broadcast Communications, showcasing hundreds of original props, costumes, and other relics."

"Saturday Night Live: The Experience" opens Oct. 21 at the Museum of Broadcast Communications (360 N State State) and is expected to run to December 2018. Tickets ($25) go on sale Friday."

If you're a huge fan like me, this will give you the opportunity to get up close and personal with the show. Especially, if you haven't had the chance to see it live in New York.

Think about all those great characters and skits.

Plus, there's such a huge Chicago connection.

Scenes like "Wayne's World," "Blues Brothers," and the "Super Fans."

Cast members John Belushi, Chris Farley, and Bill Murray.

Special guests including Michael Jordan, Mike Ditka, and Anthony Rizzo.

If it's anything like the Rolling Stones exhibit I saw over the summer in Chicago, this is going to be amazing.

Will you go check this out?
