This is nuts! We may no longer be able to enjoy the creamy-delicious-hazelnut spread Nutella.

Nutella Shortage Possible As Weather In Turkey Wipes Out 70 Percent Of Hazelnut Crop

If you have never tried Nutella, do us a favor and never try it. (Then there will be more for the die-hard fans.)

The fate of Nutella may come to an end. Well that's a bit dramatic... Nutella will come to you in the same jar but possibly at a much heftier price.

Currently there is a (gasp) hazelnut shortage! This shortage is largely due to a killer frost in Turkey earlier this year. According to the New York Post, 70 percent of the crop of hazelnuts have been destroyed. Nutella uses about 25 percent of the world's supply of hazelnuts.

As of now, the hazelnut shortage has driven up prices by as much as 60 percent and usually when that happens, manufacturers often pass along the increases to consumers.

My suggestion, cut coupons, search for sales and stock up on Nutella!
