Jim McMahon, the former star quarterback of the Chicago Bears, has a documentary coming out about him.

I've watched a lot of television in 2020. Of course, most people have because we are been forced to spend a lot of time at home. I really enjoy documentaries. Especially, if they are about music or sports. They are even better when they cover my favorite bands and teams.

One of the best to come out this year is "The Last Dance" about Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. Since then, there's been a lot of talk about who should be featured next in Chicago Sports.

Well, there's an answer to that question. It's former Chicago Bears star quarterback, Jim McMahon. I personally think it's a great choice. He's had a very interesting life. He led the Bears to a Super Bowl Championship and is one of the best in franchise history. His personality is over the top. His nickname was the "Punky QB." Plus, his life after football has been fascinating too with his battle with post-NFL career health issues.

The film is titled "Mad Mac, the Jim McMahon Story." It's being done by Forty FPS and going to be released in 2021.

According to their website fortyfps.com,

"He knew only one speed -- hell-bent -- a zealous pace that brought him athletic records, fame, injury, and fast criticism. Jim McMahon digested football and life with similar fervor, the two often battling each other. The quarterback loved bars and nightlife, leaving a residue that sometimes led to the field the next day. He blew up at coaches, ignored play calls, screamed in the huddle. He was brash and flamboyant, his headbands, exotic haircuts, and dark sunglasses stoking a rebel-without-pause image."

I was a big McMahon fan so I look forward to checking it out.
